Ducati recently introduced the new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour bike, which is based on the popular V4 S platform. The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is a tour-friendly vehicle, with the same wheels and electronics as the V4 S. This new addition to the extensive Multistrada line-up, which includes the V4, V4 S, V4 Rally, V4 Pikes Peak, V2, and V2 S, aims to establish itself as the company's premier tourer motorcycle, with a host of thoughtful modifications ranging from the design to the creature comforts. All of this, however, comes at a modest price increase. Here's everything you need to know about Ducati's new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour.
Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour Edition: New Updates
The Multistrada V4 S GT sports a new livery with Grey, Black, and Red highlights on the bodywork and a new pillion seat. It also gets a centre stand and colour-coordinated panniers as standard. On some models, the centre stand is an optional feature, making it easier for loading, unloading, and performing minor maintenance tasks. Other extras on the Ducati include heated grips, heated seats, and a rigidly mounted handlebar, which, according to Ducati, improves the rider's experience. Ducati provides heat-controlling vents, which can be closed near the legs, and a vent on the phone charging box to ensure that gadgets don’t get overheated during charging.
The bike also gets a Minimum Preload option for shorter riders, which can effectively lower the seat height to allow both feet to touch the ground when the motorcycle reaches a standstill. Additionally, the motorcycle has an Easy Lift feature, which, when activated, lowers the bike, thereby making it simpler to roll the vehicle off the stand. Once the motorcycle starts moving, the suspension is reset to the rider's preference.
Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour Edition: Mechanical Details
A 1,158cc liquid-cooled V4 engine, with 167bhp of maximum power and 125Nm of peak torque and coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quick-shifter, powers the new V4 S GT. The motorcycle has a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, both of which are fully adjustable.
Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour Edition: Features
The use of technology on the new V4 S GT is extensive. It includes a radar system with adaptive cruise control (ACC) and blind spot detection (BSD), in addition to all the beneficial features installed in the other Strada bikes, such as cornering ABS, traction control, wheel control, and hill control. Additional LED fog lights, a TPMS to monitor your bike's tyre pressure and a navigation system with the ability to turn the TFT dash into a colour map are also included. Furthermore, it comes with enough luggage space – two 60-litre integrated compartments.
