The Multistrada 950S is Ducati's first BS6-compliant ADV in the Indian market. Along with an updated engine, the Multistrada 950S gets a couple of new features as well.
After bringing the Panigale V2 and Scrambler 1100 Pro, Ducati India has now launched its third BS6 product in the market – the Multistrada 950S. Priced at Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Multistrada 950 is nearly Rs 3 lakh dearer than the BS4 version. However, while it's essentially the same motorcycle as earlier, the ‘S’ in its name means that it’s now offered with a lot more kit in the updated BS6 avatar.
Compared to the Multistrada 950 that was on sale earlier, not much has changed in the new 950S on the design front. The 937cc Testastretta L-twin engine is unchanged as well, albeit it now meets BS6 norms. Interestingly, there has been no change in power output or torque, as the 950S develops the same 111.4bhp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of torque at 7,750rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Multistrada 950 S is offered with Ducati’s Skyhook semi-active electronic suspension, a quick-shifter, traction control, cornering ABS, vehicle hold control, and fully-adjustable riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, and Enduro). The motorcycle continues to feature a 5.0-inch colour TFT instrument display. The 950S comes with a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, which are shod with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres.
The Multistrada 950S is available across all Ducati dealerships in the country. The 950S competes with the likes of BMW F 900 XR and Triumph Tiger 900 GT.
