After making its global debut in October 2023, the Ducati DesertX Rally has finally arrived on our market. As the name implies, the DesertX Rally is an off-road-focused version of the standard middleweight motorcycle. Available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 23.71 lakh in India, the new Rally variant is about Rs 5.40 lakh more expensive than the DesertX. At this price difference, the DesertX Rally gets increased wheel travel, a forged carbon sump guard, a raised front fender, and lighter wire-spoked wheels wrapped in tube-type tyres. The bookings for the new motorcycle are underway, while the deliveries for the same will commence in the last week of May.
While the Ducati DesertX's fully adjustable upside-down (USD) front fork offers 230mm suspension travel, a 48mm fully adjustable unit available with the DesertX Rally gives you an additional 20mm of travel. The rear section uses a fully adjustable monoshock with 240mm of travel, an increase from 220mm.

Ducati DesertX Rally: Brakes, Wheels
The anchoring system of the DesertX Rally consists of a single 265mm rotor with a Brembo double-piston floating calliper at the rear and twin 320mm discs with Brembo M50 monobloc radial callipers at the front. The discs come mounted on lighter (yet stronger) Takasago Excel wire-spoked wheels, measuring 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear. These wheels are shod with tube-type tyres rather than the tubeless ones you find on the standard Ducati DesertX. Other bits include machined front fork clamps and gear pedals, as well as an Ohlins steering damper.
Ducati DesertX Rally: Weight, Seat Height
Despite weight savings, the Rally variant weighs 1 kilogram more than the standard DesertX. The former tips the scales at 211 kilograms without fuel. With fuel, this number increases by around 4 kilograms. The Rally's seat height stands at 910mm, up from 875mm on the standard model.
Ducati DesertX Rally: Powertrain
The Ducati DesertX Rally gets the same 937cc L-Twin liquid-cooled engine that powers the standard DesertX. The motor is tuned to produce 108bhp at 9,250rpm and 92Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox.
