Ducati has unveiled a more touring-friendly variant of the off-road-focussed DesertX motorcycle – the Discovery. Sporting a special paint theme that has Red as the base paint with White/Black accents, the Ducati DesertX Discovery brings a host of touring accessories along as standard equipment. These are the reinforced sump guard and hand guards, as well as the engine guard for protecting the water pump and radiator grille. Other bits on offer as standard with the bike include a large windshield, a centre stand, and heated grips for facilitating the easy loading of luggage.
The DesertX Discovery uses the same lightweight tubular steel frame as the standard DesertX, making it an ideal companion even for daily commutes. The suspension setup consists of a fully adjustable upside-down front fork (with 230mm wheel travel) and a rear monoshock (with 220mm wheel travel), both sourced from Kayaba.
