The deliveries of the most affordable litre-class supersport has commenced in India. The 2021 Kawasaki ZX-10R also gets the option of K-Care add-on pack for hassle-free ownership
Launched last month, Kawasaki has already commenced the deliveries of the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R. The first motorcycle was handed over to its customer in Delhi and subsequently Kawasaki will commence the deliveries to the respective customers according to the bookings.
The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was launched for an ex-showroom cost of 14.99 lakh. The supersport is positioned at a tempting cost as it reaps the benefits of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) pricing.
Moreover, Kawasaki has also launched a K-Care package that offers an extended warranty and the benefits of annual maintenance contract to its customers. The K-Care package was introduced last week, however, the pricing is yet to be disclosed. Kawasaki offers a two-year/30,000km standard warranty and the K-Care pack will cover the motorcycle for additional two-years/50,000km.
Kawasaki’s 998cc in-line four-cylinder engine is housed in an aluminium twin-spar chassis and the ZX-10R also gets an aluminium swingarm. For suspension, the ZX-10R gets Showa suspension units on both ends. The braking unit on the front end is a 330mm twin-disc setup, with Brembo M50 Monobloc callipers, while the rear end gets a 220mm single disc setup. The power ratings stand at 200bhp at 13,200rpm, and the peak torque of 114Nm comes in at 11,400rpm.
While the pricing is very competitive, The Kawasaki ZX-10R rivals the Ducati Panigale V2, BMW S1000 RR and the Honda CBR1000RR-R which are priced higher.
