As the lockdown eases across the nation and automobile manufacturers resume operations, it seems that most bikemakers are revising the prices of their products. Earlier in the day, we reported that Suzuki has increased the price of the BS6 Access 125 by Rs 1,700. TVS too has revised the prices of the Radeon. The Hosur-based bikemaker upgraded its commuter to meet the BS6 norms in April. Less than two months into the launch of the BS6 Radeon, the company has now revised its prices. The base trim of the Radeon is now priced at Rs 59,742. The Commuter Bike of the Year Drum and Disc variants now carry a price tag of Rs 62,742 and Rs 65,742 respectively. In comparison, Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India just brought in the BS6 CD 110 Dream at Rs 64,505 for the standard and Rs 65,505 for the Deluxe variants. The Radeon’s other rival, the BS6 Hero Splendor+ is priced at Rs 60,350 for the kick start version, Rs 62,650 for the self-start, and Rs 63,860 for the i3S variant.It must be noted that, unlike the TVS Radeon, the Honda and the hero offerings are not offered with a disc brake option.
Coming back to the Radeon, it continues to be powered by the same 109.7cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor that develops 8.08bhp and 8.7Nm. the engine continues to be paired with a 4-speed transmission. The base Radeon is offered with six colour options while the Commuter of the Year trims only come with Chrome Black and Chrome Brown options.
