Austrian brand Brixton Motorcycles has announced its plans to enter the Indian market with the launch of four models this year. The launch date for some of these models is set for November 18. However, there is a catch: the prices for two of the models will be revealed on that date. One model is an electric scooter from the Italian EV maker VLF (Velocifero), and the other is a Brixton motorcycle. Additionally, the company may showcase its future lineup planned for India.
While the product names have not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated that the VLF Tennis scooter will be among the models introduced. The Tennis scooter combines Italian engineering with exceptional design and cutting-edge technology. It is available in two battery variants: 1.4kWh and 2.8kWh. The power output ranges from 2bhp to 5bhp, depending on the variant. The base model offers a range of 60km and a top speed of 45km/h, while the top-spec variant provides a range of 100km and a top speed of 100km/h.

The suspension setup comprises a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock, and stopping power comes from a disc brake on each end. The scooter features a TFT dash and three riding modes (Eco, Comfort and Sport). If it launches here, the Tennis will take on the Ola S1 Air, Ather 450S, Bajaj Chetak, and the TVS iQube in the EV space.
Upcoming Brixton Bike: What to Expect?
Brixton will also launch one of its four motorcycles – Crossfire 500 X, Crossfire 500 XC, Cromwell 1200, and Cromwell 1200 X – next week, with the other three to follow in due course. Which of these will make its way here first is yet to be revealed. The first two are based on the 500cc platform, while the latter two are bigger-capacity 1,200cc, twin-cylinder motorcycles.
The Brixton Crossfire 500X is a cafe racer with a rugged setup and a 47bhp twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, while the Crossfire 500XC is a scrambler having the same engine as the 500X. Coming to 1,200cc motorcycles, the Cromwell 1200X and the Cromwell 1200 share the design with the 500cc bikes but feature an 82bhp twin-cylinder engine having a displacement capacity of 1,222cc.

Brixton will bring its motorcycles to our market as completely knocked-down units. The models will be assembled at KAW Veloce Motors' factory in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), indicating that the bikes will likely be more expensive than their European counterparts. Sales will take place through the Motohaus dealership network.
