The 2021 Isle of Man TT was cancelled because of the ongoing pandemic, but BMW Motorrad France has come up with a special edition of its S 1000 RR to pay homage to the sport.
BMW Motorrad France has unveiled the Isle Of Man Edition of the S 1000 RR, which will be limited to only 50 units. The Isle Of Man Edition will exclusively be sold in European markets.
The BMW S 1000 RR Isle Of Man Edition gets House of Munich’s unique Isle of Man Green paint, which inspired by the 2021 BMW M3 sports sedan. To complement the green paintwork, the S 1000 RR gets a yellow tint on the headlamp lens, while the wheels sport a copper finish. The fuel tank gets an inscription of the production number to justify its limited-edition status.
Speaking The Isle Of Man Edition packs dynamic damping control, heated grips, and cruise control from the standard motorcycle’s Dynamic Pack. There are a few bits from the Sport Pack, such as the M endurance chain, M GPS LapTrigger, and a USB port. BMW Motorrad France has added an M-line titanium Akrapovic exhaust and some carbon fibre bits to this new special edition German supersport.
Priced at €33,005 (approximately Rs 29.26 lakh ), the Isle Of Man Edition is an expensive proposition. The motorcycle asks for €13,805 (around Rs 12.23 lakh) over the standard S 1000 RR. The pricing is very closely matched to the BMW M 1000 RR in the European market.
The BMW S 1000 RR on sale in India demands Rs 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom), while the S 1000 RR Pro and S 1000 RR Pro M Sport demand Rs 21.4 lakh and Rs 23.75 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The BMW M 1000 RR carries a price tag of Rs 42 lakh (ex-showroom).
