BMW Motorrad India marks the celebration of its 100th anniversary by launching two limited edition bikes in India. The automaker has launched the R nineT Roadster and the R 18 Cruiser with a Big Boxer at Rs 24 lakh and Rs 25.90 lakh, respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. To represent the year the BMW R32 was first released, each of these models will only be made in 1923 units worldwide. The automaker has opened bookings for these motorcycles in India, and interested buyers can book their choice of BMW 100 years edition from their nearest BMW Motorrad India dealership store. The bikes launched as a part of BMW Motorrad's 100th-anniversary festivities have several visual improvements compared to the standard models.
BMW R nineT 100 Years Edition
In terms of visual improvements, the fuel tank, front wheel covers, and some other components are painted in black as part of the 100 Years package, and the tank sides are chrome-plated. Further, the motorcycle has a bench seat in a two-tone colour scheme. Mechanically, a 1170cc air/oil-cooled, two-cylinder boxer engine powers the BMW R nineT's roadster-style motorcycle. It is capable of churning out 109bhp of maximum power and 116Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the roadster has a top speed of 200km/h and weighs 221 kg. Other notable features of the bike include adaptive turning light, 719 Classic wheels option with black anodised rim rings, Driving Modes Pro, Comfort Package with heated grips, etc.

BMW R 18 100 Years Edition
On the mechanical front, a 1800cc two-cylinder, four-stroke, air/oil-cooled engine that puts out 90bhp of peak power output and 158Nm of maximum torque is available with the BMW R 18 cruiser. It enables the bike to obtain a speed of up to 180km/h. Further, the newly introduced bike weight stands at 345 kg. As for the appearance, this BMW R 18 cruiser now has a chrome finish and black-painted wheel covers. Additionally, it features perforated tailpipe trims in the "propeller style" of the BMW emblem and chromed Akrapovi rear silencers. Other standout features available with the model are headlight Pro with adaptive turning light, heated grips, electronic cruise control, reversing aid, and more.
