BMW Motorrad will launch its upcoming R 1300 GS adventure motorcycle in India on June 13. Yes, you read that right! and, if you intend to reserve one, the bookings for the motorcycle are open at select dealerships for a token amount ranging between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh, depending on the variant selected. Speaking of which, one can see three variants of the BMW R 1300 GS – Option 719 Tramuntana, GS Trophy, and Triple Black – already listed on the Indian website. The top-spec Tramuntana gets tubeless spoked rims, while the other two variants feature alloy wheels. However, tyres sizes are the same (120/70-R19 front and 170/60-R17 and rear).
The BMW R 1300 GS will succeed the outgoing R 1250 GS, which is only available in a Pro guise at Rs 20.55 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Compared to the R 1250 GS, the new BMW R 1300 GS has more sleek bodywork, a flatter fuel tank, an X-shaped matrix LED headlight with daytime running lights, a split-seat design, and a more slender tail section. Moreover, the bike will pack in more features as well as a bigger boxer engine. It is expected to fall between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom) in terms of pricing.

The BMW R 1300 GS also uses electronically adjustable suspension, allowing the rider to adjust the spring preload and damping through an optional dynamics suspension (DSA). Additionally, DSA offers an adaptive ride height control, which automatically adjusts the height of the bike.
