Upcoming BMW R 1300 GS ADV Leaked Ahead of Global Debut on September 28
The BMW R 1300 GS ADV will serve as a replacement for the legendary BMW R 1250 GS and come powered by a 1,300cc boxer-twin engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. Power and torque figures of the new bike stand at 143bhp and 143Nm.
The flagship BMW R 1300 GS will make its debut on the 28th of September 2023 at the opening ceremony of the new BMW Motorrad Welt in Berlin, the German automotive manufacturer has announced. But prior to this, full-fledged images of the BMW R 1300 GS are now doing the rounds on the internet. The latest motorcycle will serve as a replacement model for the legendary BMW R 1250 GS and come powered by a 1,300cc boxer-twin engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. Power and torque figures of the new bike stand at 143bhp and 143Nm, which is an increase from the previous 134bhp. In addition, the bike is also expected to come equipped with the BMW ShiftCam technology and could be offered in a slightly different state of tune as against the existing 1250 series.

Meanwhile, the company has announced that it has delivered its 10,00,000th unit of the R 1250 GS Triple Black. The BMW R 1250 GS shares its mechanicals with the standard R 1250 GS model in terms of powertrain, which means that it is powered by a 1,254cc, liquid-cooled, boxer-twin engine that is good enough to produce 134bhp of maximum power at 7,750rpm and 143Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quick-shifter. For maximum safety, the bike is equipped with the latest ABS and traction control.

Speaking of its features, the upcoming motorcycle is anticipated to offer LED lighting, heated grips, a digital instrument cluster, collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, radar-based cruise control, GPS, traction control, an anti-lock braking system, and ride modes.

Upon its launch, the upcoming R 1300 GS will come across as a product that will have an aggressive design language. The bike has been spotted testing on multiple occasions. Based on the images, expect the bike to be styled with an LED headlight, a radar system, auxiliary lights, and a small visor. The bike will come nestled in a brand-new cast aluminium frame and rear sub-frame, which will help with weight reduction.

In terms of hardware, the bike could be suspended with the help of a front Telelever and rear Paralever springs, while the bike is likely to ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, with both cast alloy wheel and spoked wheel options offered.
