The BMW R 1250 R is priced at Rs 15.95 lakh, while the R 1250 RT is priced at Rs 22.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
BMW Motorrad has launched two new motorcycles in the Indian market, the R 1250 R and the R 1250 RT. The former is priced at Rs 15.95 lakh, while the latter carries a price-tag of Rs 22.50 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom.
While the R 1250 R is a naked motorcycle, the R 1250 RT is an ultimate touring motorcycle. Both the models come powered by BMW’s renowned 2-cylinder in-line Boxer engine. The engine on duty in these bikes has a displacement of 1254cc, producing a power output of 134bhp at 7,750rpm, along with a torque of 143 Nm at 6,250rpm. Like the R 1250 GS and S 1000RR, the engine also comes with BMW’s ‘ShiftCam’ variable valve technology.
The BMW R 1250 R & the BMW R 1250 RT both have two riding modes available as standard. The R 1250 RT gets seat heating, central locking system, tyre pressure control, anti-theft alarm system, Dynamic ESA, cruise control, et al. The R 1250 R gets a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT screen with Bluetooth Connectivity. The BMW R 1250 RT gets a 5.7-inch TFT colour screen along with an analogue speedometer and rev counter.
Both the bikes will be brought into the country as completely built-up units (CBU), just like other high-end BMW bikes. At the moment, BMW Motorrad India only produces the G 310 R and G 310 GS locally, in partnership with TVS Motor.
