German bike makers, BMW, have just revealed three new R nineT spin-off models. The new models will use the air/oil-cooled engine and chassis as they begin to develop a separate ‘Heritage’ department to run alongside their existing modern motorcycle business.
It has been confirmed that all three bikes will be revealed at the Milan motorcycle show in November this year, but BMW has not confirmed on the model names and exact specifications.
The retro looking BMW R nineT has been a huge succes for BMW, and they are hoping that the new lineup will follow suit. Among the three models which are expected to be introduced is a stripped down, base model R nineT, a half faired S model and another model that will pay homage to the R80 G/S model.
The above images are all renderings from motorcyclenews.com but they are more or less similar to what the final models might appear like. The bikes will certainly look like classic bikes but they will most definitely be fully loaded with BMW's current technologies.
