The BMW CE 04 electric scooter can sprint from 0 to 50km/h in 2.6 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 120km/h.
BMW Motorrad has shown a glimpse of its electric scooter, the CE 04, in India. The BMW CE 04 will be powered through a permanent magnet motor which produces 42bhp of peak power. The motor will come coupled with an 8.9kWh lithium-ion battery, which will be located inside the floorboard. According to BMW, the German EV will travel 130 kilometres on a single charge. the company also says that a 2.3kW charger can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 4 hours and 20 minutes. However, by using a 6.9kW fast charger, this time can be reduced to 1 hour and 40 minutes.
In terms of design, the e-scooter has a lean tail section with a bench-like seat, wide side panels, and a compact front apron. The CE 04 e-scooter boasts storage spaces built into the sides and front. Additionally, there is a Type-C USB charging connector in a ventilated mobile charging compartment.
The BMW CE 04 will have 15-inch wheels with 120-section and 160-section tyres on the front and back, respectively. at the front, there are two 265mm disc brakes and at the back, braking duties are handled by a single disc.

As for features, BMW will offer ABS Pro with a cornering function as an option while ABS will be given as standard. The German EV will also boast three riding modes - Eco, Road, and Rain. Additionally, it has a 10.25-inch TFT display, which offers complete smartphone connectivity and can be used to switch between the ride modes. A split function between navigation and other riding features is also available on the dash. Moreover, the EV also comes with traction control system.
As of now, BMW Motorrad is yet to reveal launch details of the electric scooter in India. However, we expect it to enter our market just like its sibling, the BMW C 400 GT. Globally, the BMW CE 04 is pricier than the C 400 GT.
