Bharat Mobility Expo: Norton has showcased the naked sports motorcycle—V4CR Cafe Racer—at the ongoing mobility show in the nation. The superbike made its global debut last year with a price tag of Euro 41,999 (about Rs 43.3 lakh).
Bharat Mobility Expo: The Norton V4CR Cafe Racer—a limited edition motorcycle— that debuted globally last year with a price tag of Euro 41,999 (about Rs 43.3 lakh), is currently on display at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Among many features, it has keyless ignition, a 6.0-inch full-colour instrument cluster, and three engine modes. The superbike runs on the same 1,200cc V4 engine that is found in the regular Norton V4SV. Manx Platinum and Carbon are the two available colours of the V4CR, each offering a somewhat different look to the bike. The Manx Platinum option has orange seats, platinum-colored bodywork with carbon panels, and forged aluminum OZ racing wheels, while the Carbon version has noticeable carbon fiber bodywork paired with black BST wheels and a black saddle. Norton V4CR Cafe Racer: Engine and Hardware
A 1200cc V4 engine is the heart of the superbike that pumps out a maximum output of 185bhp at 12,500rpm and a peak torque of 125Nm at 9,000rpm. It has a 6-speed manual transmission with a quickshifter and a slipper clutch.
The bike sports Brembo brakes, aerospace-grade aluminum billet machine yokes, innovative lean-angle sensitive traction control, and three engine modes (wet, road, and sport). In addition, it has a 6.0-inch full-colour instrument cluster, cornering ABS, a 15-litre carbon fuel tank under the seat reinforced with Kevlar, and other features. Furthermore, the V4CR Cafe Racer has fully adjustable 43mm Ohlins NIX30 inverted forks at the front, a TTXGP mono-shock unit at the rear, and radially mounted Brembo monobloc callipers.
Norton V4CR Cafe Racer: Styling and Other Details
A slender taillamp, titanium exhaust system, one-sided billet aluminum swing arm, angular mirrors, clip-on handlebar, rider-only saddle, and round headlight are some of the bike's design elements. The bike features a TIG-welded aluminum tubular chassis. The kerb weight of the bike stands at 204 kg.
Norton V4CR Cafe Racer: Will it go on sale in India?
The automaker currently has no plans to launch the V4CR Cafe Racer in India, as was previously announced. However, speculations are circulating on the internet that TVS is developing a few Norton motorcycles that will be sold in India and abroad.
