Bharat Mobility Expo: Royal Enfield unveiled RE Classic 350 Flex Fuel at the Mobility Expo 2024. Given the Classic 350's position as the brand's best-selling model, this represents a purposeful effort to launch the first motorbike capable of running on up to E85 fuel. This innovative flex-fuel motorcycle is part of Royal Enfield's plan to launch in the third quarter of 2024. Built on the modern J-platform of motorcycles, the Classic 350 exemplifies the company's policy of staying ahead of technological curves. With this new feature, other J-platform motorbikes like the Bullet 350, Meteor 350, and Hunter 350 may also be able to use flex-fuel in the future. In addition to increasing the Classic 350's desirability, Royal Enfield is laying the groundwork for a more environmentally friendly and adaptable motorcycle lineup with this daring step.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Flex Fuel: Design
Compared to the regular model, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Flex Fuel looks almost identical. Keeping with the traditional design of the typical Classic 350, it has the characteristic circular headlight, prominent front fenders, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, conventional mirrors, spoke wheels, and a distinctive peashooter-style exhaust system.
A visual indication of its Flex Fuel potential, the unique green paint job with red highlights is the most noticeable departure. A chrome-treated engine and exhaust further enhance the bike's sophisticated appearance.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Flex Fuel: Engine
The standard Royal Enfield Classic 350 models use a 349cc air/oil-cooled J-series engine that produces 20.2bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27Nm at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. For the flex-fuel version, the J-series engine receives new gaskets and hoses to make it more resistant to ethanol in the fuel mix, which is known to be corrosive. There has been no change to the weight (195 kg), torque (27Nm at 4,000 rpm), or power (20.2bhp at 6,100 rpm).

Prices for the regular Royal Classic 350 range from Rs 1.93 lakh to Rs 2.21 lakh (ex-showroom).
