Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: The Yamaha Tenere 700 has been showcased at the Auto Expo. For the uninitiated, the 2025 version of the model was recently introduced at EICMA 2024 in Milan, featuring a refreshed design, an enhanced engine, and updated amenities. Among the notable changes, the quad-LED headlight design remained unchanged, but the lenses sport a rectangular shape inspired by Yamaha's rally bikes. The fuel tank has been repositioned to sit lower and further forward, providing improved rider mobility and comfort. Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with a one-piece seat for added convenience. Aesthetic enhancements, such as redesigned handguards and updated turn signals, further contribute to its modern and sleek appearance. The bike on display at the mobility show, however, is the earlier version. Yamaha Tenere 700: Engine Specs

The Yamaha Tenere 700 is powered by a 689cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that generates 72bhp at 9,000rpm of power and 68Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox for smooth performance.

The bike's chassis utilises a durable double-cradle frame, while suspension duties are managed by an inverted telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, ensuring stability and comfort on various terrains. The braking system includes twin 282mm discs at the front and a single 245mm disc at the back. It features a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel with spokes. With a seat height of 860mm, ground clearance of 225mm, and a 16-litre fuel tank, the motorcycle’s kerb weight stands at 211kg.

Coming to the features, the Tenere 700 sports a sleek all-LED lighting setup and a newly designed 6.3-inch vertical TFT display, offering two distinct modes: Street and Explorer. This display supports integration with smartphones via Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, allowing riders to receive call and SMS alerts, control music, and access turn-by-turn navigation. Other amenities comprise ride-by-wire throttle, providing two riding modes—Sport and Explorer—as well as switchable traction control for added adaptability. For safety and convenience, it includes dual-channel ABS and a USB charging port.

As far as market rivals are concerned, the Yamaha model is expected to go head to head with the likes of the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE as well as the Honda Transalp XL 750. The 2025 iteration of the model is expected to launch in India by October 2025 via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route.
