Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Hero MotoCorp has launched its new quarter-litre street bike, the Xtreme 250R, at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The model carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1.80 lakh. Previously revealed at the EICMA show in Milan last year, the Xtreme 250R stands out as a striking and well-balanced offering. Powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled engine, the Xtreme 250R aims to deliver a blend of aggressive styling and impressive performance, positioning itself as a strong contender in its segment. The bookings for the model will open in February, while the deliveries are scheduled to commence in March.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Styling

The design incorporates a sharply contoured fuel tank with pronounced extensions, as well as a low-positioned headlamp, all combining to give it a clean yet athletic profile. Other noticeable bits include a split seat setup, muscular exhaust, and an angular tail section.

The two-wheeler manufacturer has displayed the Xtreme 250R in two colour shades: Black and Red. However, the model is expected to come in additional paint schemes in the future. The bike’s overall appearance reflects a blend of influences, resulting in a unique and attractive design.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Engine Specs

The motorcycle is equipped with a 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. This newly developed powertrain, which also features in the forthcoming Karizma XMR 250, generates 30bhp of maximum power at 9,250rpm and 25Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. It boasts an impressive 0 to 60km/h acceleration time of 3.25 seconds. Additionally, an assist and slipper clutch is included in the setup.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Hardware Setup

Built around a steel trellis frame, which appears to be a refined version of the Karizma XMR’s chassis, the bike sports 17-inch wheels, disc brakes on both ends and a switchable ABS. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm upside-down forks at the front and a 6-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is facilitated by single petal-type discs with ByBre callipers on both ends. The 50-50 weight distribution ensures superior tyre grip and agile handling characteristics.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Features, Rivals

On the feature front, the Xtreme 250R will come equipped with a TFT digital instrument cluster that offers smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, along with features like turn-by-turn navigation and media controls. Additional amenities include vehicle diagnostic monitoring and notifications for incoming calls and SMS. It also has a drag timer, all-LED lighting, and a lap timer.
