Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xoom 160, its first maxi-scooter, at the Auto Expo 2025. The scooter was first revealed at EICMA 2023 and is now available in India. With a long and broad design, the Xoom 160 offers a spacious boot, thanks to its long wheelbase and central spine that houses the fuel tank. Featuring a muscular body and tall stance, the Xoom 160 stays true to the maxi-scooter style. Its central spine and high build are inspired by adventure bikes (ADVs). The front of the scooter stands out with a sharp look, split LED headlights, and a transparent visor, giving it an ADV-like appearance.

This new launch combines style and practicality, making the Hero Xoom 160 a strong contender in the maxi-scooter segment.

Hero Xoom 160: Features

The Hero Xoom 160 comes with a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers for a smooth ride. It has disc brakes at both ends for effective stopping power. The scooter features 12-inch alloy wheels with block-pattern tyres for a rugged look.
The Xoom 160 includes an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity, offering call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and keyless ignition for added convenience. These features enhance the overall appeal of the scooter.

Hero Xoom 160: Engine

The Hero Xoom 160 is powered by a 156cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 13.7Nm of torque at 6,500rpm and 14bhp of power at 8,000rpm. Equipped with i3S technology, the scooter features idle stop and silent start functions for better fuel efficiency. With a full tank of fuel, the Hero Xoom 160 weighs 141 kilograms.

This new maxi-scooter will compete with popular models in the segment, including the Aprilia SR 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155, offering a strong alternative for scooter enthusiasts.
