Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli has now given the TNT 600i naked sport bike an upgrade of ABS as standard.
Benelli have now bumped the price of the Benelli TNT 600i significantly. The reason for the price hike is that Benelli will offer the naked sport TNT 600i with ABS as standard fitment. The TNT 600i is now priced at Rs. 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Even with the escalation of the price of the bike, the TNT 600i still remains the most affordable four-cylinder motorcycle available in India.
The TNT 600i is assembled at the DSK factory near Pune to keep the costs of the motorcycle low. The inline 4-cylinder engine develops 83hp and 54.6Nm of torque at 10,5000rpm. Now with ABS as standard fitment on the TNT 600i, Benelli is planning on offering ABS as standard across their entire range in India.
The Benelli TNT 600i ABS is expected to be available in all DSK Benelli showrooms by third week of June. However, the 600i models not equipped with ABS will still be sold until stocks last at the existing price of the motorcycle.
Currently, Benelli offers a range of six different motorcycles in India. They include the TNT 25, TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600 GT, TNT 899 and the TNT R 1130. The Benelli motorcycles are sold in India through their partnership agreement with Indian company DSK Motowheels. The Benelli range is priced from Rs. 1.68 lakh to Rs. 11.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Benelli is expected to expand their portfolio in India with the TRK 502 adventure tourer, Tornado 300 superbike, BX 250 offroader, and the Naked T-135. Benelli is expected to launch these four models in India in the time period of 2016-2017.
