DSK Benelli has now introduced the Italian bike makers first fully-faired offering in India for a priced of Rs 3.48 lakh
From the time we rode the pre-production version of the Benelli 302R in December last year, it has been quite a long wait. Now, the Italian bike maker has launched it in the Indian market at Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom). Although the company was initially scheduled to launch the bike in 2017, however, the introduction of the bike was postponed due to the new BS IV emission norms.
At the heart, the 302R gets the same power plant as the TNT 300. The 300cc, in-line 2, 8 valve water cooled engine makes 38.26bhp and 26.5Nm and comes paired with a 6-speed transmission. Although the 302R borrows the engine from its naked sibling, it is based on an all-new trellis frame, and of course, has an exclusive design. Speaking of design, the 302R gets a large front fairing with split u-shaped headlamps. The rear section looks rather narrow in comparison to the front which makes it look rather disproportionate.
Up front, the 302R comes fitted with upside down forks while at the back it is fitted with a Hydraulic monoshock setup. the 302R comes with double disc brakes on the front and a single disc set up for the rear and the bike rides on 110/70 R17 wheels at the front and while the rear gets a wider 150/60 R17 wheel. Other features include Daytime Running Lights, ABS and more. Benelli will be offering the 302R in three colour options - White Rosso, Red Nero and Silver Verde. Benelli has also included a four-year unlimited warranty with the bike
The Benelli 302R will compete against the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the 390 Duke from KTM.
