Bajaj updates its website with price and specifications for the more affordable version of the Bajaj V.
Bajaj has silently updated its website with the 125cc version of its V model. Priced at Rs. 56,283 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Bajaj V12 claims to carry on the legacy of being built with some amount of metal from INS Vikrant which was decommissioned from the Indian Navy after serving as India’s first aircraft carrier. Thanks to its smaller engine the Bajaj V12 is more affordable than the larger 150cc engined Bajaj V which is priced at Rs. 62,132 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Bajaj V12 is powered by the company’s 124.5cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine developing 10.39bhp @ 7,500 rpm and 10.98Nm of peak torque @ 5,500 rpm and comes with a five-speed gearbox. The engine also serves the Discover 125. The V12 gets different suspension components than the V and the Bajaj V12 unlike the Bajaj V comes with 130mm drum brakes at the front and rear and does not get a front disc brake even as an option. The V12 is also shorter and lower than the 150cc V but is 5mm wider. It has the same ground clearance and wheelbase though.
Incidentally, the Bajaj V12 costs a little over Rs. 5,000 than the Bajaj Discover 125 which is priced at Rs. 51,095 (ex-showroom Delhi).
