A test mule of Bajaj's upcoming offering, the Pulsar N125, has been spotted for the first time on our roads, providing an early look at some key elements. The spotted two-wheeler is equipped with telescopic front forks and monoshock suspension at the rear. In addition, there are disc and drum brakes in the front and rear, respectively. The new Bajaj motorcycle will likely share features and design with its Pulsar siblings. It may have the same plastic components, fuel tank, and LED headlamp as the N150, as well as, alloy wheels and split seats similar to the Pulsar NS125. The Pulsar 125 and the NS125 are the two 125cc models that the firm currently offers in India. It is expected that the new N125 will sit in the range between these two models. Let's explore some potential characteristics of the new Bajaj vehicle in more detail.
Bajaj Pulsar N125: Engine and Other Highlights
The same 124.45cc, single-cylinder mill found in the NS125 is anticipated to power the new N125. Bajaj has not revealed anything, but the engine is expected to receive a few tweaks to increase efficiency and performance. For reference, the NS125 currently generates 11.8bhp and 11Nm using a five-speed gearbox.
In terms of features, the new Pulsar N125 is likely to come with an LCD instrument unit that is identical to the updated NS125. The panel displays various information, including clock, fuel level, speedometer, gear indication, trip meter, odometer, and RPM. Although this unit has Bluetooth connectivity, it misses out on turn-by-turn navigation. Other notable elements of the bike may include a small tail section, sleek rearview mirrors, an underfloor exhaust, and a broad handlebar.
Bajaj Pulsar N125: Market Availability
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 is anticipated to go on sale in India by the middle or end of the year, with an estimated price of roughly Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, the new Bajaj bike will face off against the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R in the competitive 125cc motorcycle category. Bajaj is reportedly developing multiple products for our market, including its first CNG motorcycle. This bike has been spotted on the streets multiple times, showing key elements such as a single-piece seat, grab rails, monoshock, and telescopic front forks. While Bajaj is yet to provide any details, market sources hint that the new CNG bike will be available for purchase between April and June of this year.
