Bajaj Auto plans to eventually begin exports of the new Freedom 125 in six different countries with well-established CNG infrastructure, including Colombia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Tanzania, and Peru. That being said, the company's initial focus will stay on India, which it considers a major market. The Bajaj Freedom 125, launched on July 5, is the world's first CNG-powered bike. Its deliveries will begin first in states like Maharashtra and Gujarat, which have strong CNG infrastructure. According to industry reports, the bike's production will commence with a capacity of 10,000 units in the initial 2-3 months, and rise to 30,000-40,000 units towards the end of this fiscal. Bajaj Freedom 125: Price and Rivals
The first-of-its-kind bi-fuel bike comes in three variants – Drum, Drum LED, and Disc LED, priced at Rs 95,000, Rs 1.05 lakh, and Rs 1.10 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The CNG bike has no direct rivals, but it serves as an alternative to models like the Bajaj Pulsar 125, the Hero Xtreme 125R, the Hero Glamour, and the TVS Raider 125.
Bajaj Freedom 125: Mechanical Specs
The Bajaj Freedom 125 boasts an entirely new frame and engine (125cc, air-cooled, single cylinder) with a 2-litre petrol tank and a 2 kg CNG cylinder. Its combined range stands at 330 kilometres. When running on petrol, the bike claims a fuel efficiency of 65km/l. It offers a mileage of 102km/kg in CNG mode.

Bajaj Freedom 125: Features and Others
The CNG motorbike boasts an 825mm seat height, a 785mm seat length,170mm ground clearance, and a kerb weight of 147.8 kg. It has alloy wheels (17 inches up front and 16 inches rear), a USB charging outlet, a negative LCD cluster with Bluetooth connectivity (only top-end variants), and a switch on the left handlebar cube to toggle between CNG and petrol modes. The Freedom 125 is the first commuter bike with a trellis frame in the 125cc class. It has a linked monoshock and a telescopic fork for suspension.
