Bajaj Auto recently introduced the most affordable electric scooter under its Chetak brand – the 2901. The new variant, which is positioned below the mid-spec Urbane variant (Rs 1.23 lakh) in the line-up, is offered at Rs 95,998 (including EMPS subsidy). At the top of the heap sits the Premium variant, which can be had at Rs 1.47 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom. Since the Bajaj Chetak 2901 is a 'more mass-appeal' product, it uses a 2.88kWh battery pack sending power to a hub-mounted traction motor (4.4kW) while the base TVS iQube is equipped with a 2.2kWh battery.
