The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street, according to industry reports, is now back on sale across India. However, there has been no official communication from Bajaj for the same. The bike now carries a price tag of Rs 1.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). To keep up with changing customer preferences, the company pulled the plug on the 220 Street. But, it is now back in the game. For those unaware, the Bajaj Avenger 220 comes in two variants - the Street and the Cruise, which is available at the similar price point as that of the 220 Street model. In terms of design, the 220 Street looks similar to the Avenger 160 Street. It offers a ground clearance of 169mm and is capable of holding around 13 litres of fuel. On the mechanical front, it uses the same 220cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine as the Avenger 220 Cruise. The most affordable 220 Street takes on the Keeway K-Light 250 V rugged cruiser that currently retails at Rs 3.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

A few days back, Bajaj released its sales figures for the month of April 2023, which revealed that the two-wheeler manufacturer sold 1,81,828 units in the domestic market, denoting a 95 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase. In the country, its market share of Bajaj is still dominated by the Pulsar brand, followed by the Platina, the CT, the Chetak Electric, the Avenger, and the Dominar.
