Ather Rizta Electric Scooter Bookings Commence Ahead of India launch on April 6
Ather Energy is set to announce the prices for its new electric scooter, Rizta, at its Community Day Celebration in Bengaluru on April 6. The electric vehicle will compete against the TVS iQube and the Hero Vida V1 Pro.
Ather Energy has commenced bookings for the upcoming Rizta electric scooter for a refundable token amount of Rs 999. Interested customers can reserve the scooter at the company's official website. The firm will host its 2024 Community Day Celebration in Bengaluru on April 6, during which the prices for the Rizta will be disclosed. Swapnil Jain, the co-founder of Ather Energy, teased the Rizta on social media last week when it was cruising through 400mm of water. The video highlighted several design elements of the new electric scooter, including a big front apron, telescopic fork, wide front tyre, and TFT screen.
During the upcoming event, the firm will unveil a few new accessories in addition to the scooter. Tarun Mehta, CEO of Ather Energy, gave a sneak peek of their 'top-secret accessory,' Halo, which resembles a helmet, on X (formerly Twitter). While Ather has not disclosed any information, it is anticipated that the helmet will come with features like an integrated head-up display and Bluetooth connectivity.
Ather Rizta: Motor: Mechanical and Other Specifics
The Rizta's precise specifications are currently unknown. Market sources, however, indicate that the e-scooter will probably feature a larger battery pack for a greater range. For the 450 line, the company offers two battery pack choices. 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh, based on the mode. In addition to other amenities, the new Rizta is rumoured to have an emergency stop signal (ESS), telescopic front forks, LED lighting, a single-disc layout on both ends, and a roomy seat.
On the price front, the Ather Rizta will likely retail for roughly Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, including FAME 2 subsidy). The scooter will go up against the TVS iQube, the Hero Vida V1 Pro, and the Ola S1 Pro after the launch.
Ather 450 Apex Deliveries Started in India
Ather Energy commenced deliveries for its newest electric vehicle, the 450 Apex in India earlier this month. The scooter was introduced on the market on January 6, 2024, for Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, the model is the most expensive offering in the brand's lineup, costing Rs 21,000 more than the highest-spec Ather 450X with a 3.7kWh battery and Pro Pack.
