Ather Energy is gearing up to roll out the entry-level model soon in the Indian market. Christened the Ather 450S, it will be the electric manufacturer's most affordable scooter, with a price tag of Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). While the company has already revealed its pricing and other details, the deliveries of the scooter will begin in the first week of August, if we believe some industry reports. A couple of days ago, the brand also teased its upcoming 450S electric scooter on social media, hinting at an LCD display for the scooter. However, the company may offer smartphone connectivity as standard with it. By taking this course, the Bengaluru-based company will be able to price the scooter lower than the 450X and benefit from the FAME incentives.

Ather EV Sales Performance for June 2023
In June 2023, Ather saw a decline in sales of about 57.5 per cent. Selling 6,479 units in June this year, the EV company witnessed a sharp decline in its sales in the Indian market. In May 2023, Ather sold 15,256 vehicles. When compared to June 2022, the Bengaluru-based EV company did record an increase of 101 per cent year-on-year but this is significantly lower than the previous month's sales. The sharp decline in sales can be attributed to the revised Fame-II subsidies, thereby leading to a substantial hike in product prices. Ather's domestic sales stood at 3,231 units in June 2022, while the company managed to sell about 6,479 samples domestically in June 2023.
