The Aprilia Tuareg 660 and the Tuono 660 (currently on sale in India), share the same 660cc platform. However, the ADV has an integrated subframe and a separate steel tube frame underneath. It is powered by the same 659cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which generates 80bhp of maximum power at 9,250rpm and 70Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm and comes paired with a six-speed transmission and an optional quick-shifter.
Aprilia Tuareg 660: Styling
Within the Tuono 660 and RS 660 family, the Tuareg 660 sports the iconic Aprilia design in an adventure tourer configuration. With its angular and tall stance, the motorcycle features two triangular-shaped LED headlights with a transparent visor over them to complete the look. Moving forward, the bike's fuel tank, incorporated with the single-piece seat, has a streamlined appearance. To enhance its off-road capabilities, the Tuareg 660 features an upswept exhaust and a belly pan.
Aprilia Tuareg 660: Feature List and Hardware Details
Except for the colour options and liveries, all three Tuareg 660 versions will most likely share the same features and specifications. As a result, all Tuareg 660 models will be equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, traction, engine map, engine brake, and a five-inch TFT display as standard. Additional electronic features, like four riding modes (two of which may be customised), switchable rear ABS, and cruise control, will be offered with the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) system.
The hardware configuration of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 has been optimised for extreme off-roading. The middleweight ADV has 240mm of suspension travel, fully adjustable 43mm USD front forks, and a Kayaba rear mono-shock. Moreover, the adventure bike includes 21-18 wire-spoke wheels with tubeless tyres.
