Aprilia RS 457 India Launch Tomorrow: Here’s All You Need to Know
Mechanically, the RS 457 from Aprilia is powered by a brand-new 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor housed in a strong aluminum frame. A quickshifter is an optional feature that comes with a six-speed transmission.
The Aprilia RS 457 will finally be launched in the Indian market by Piaggio tomorrow at the India Bike Week 2023. The bike has already made two appearances in India. Interestingly, the upcoming model is the firm's first product that will be produced in Piaggio's Baramati facility. Nevertheless, the styling and development process of the bike was done in Italy. Upon launch, the RS 457 will face off against the Yamaha R3, the KTM RC 390, and the TVS Apache RR 310. It is worth noting that the RS 457 is a high-end motorbike and is unlikely to be as inexpensive as the KTM RC 390, even though it is made in India. The bikemaker has already introduced the RS 457 in a few other nations. Buyers who are interested in bringing home the new RS 457, can visit their nearest premium Motoplex showroom (the exclusive retail outlet for the RS 457).

Aprilia RS 457: Mechanical Specifications
Mechanically, the RS 457 from Aprilia is powered by a brand-new 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor housed in a strong aluminum frame. A quickshifter is an optional feature that comes with a six-speed transmission and an engine that can generate up to 47bhp of maximum power at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm of peak torque at 6,700rpm. A front 41mm USD fork with 120mm of travel and a rear 130mm monoshock tackle the suspension duties. For both, preload can be adjusted. A Bybre 4-piston radial calliper on the 320mm front disc and a single-piston floating calliper on the 220mm rear disc make up the braking system. It also has 17-inch wheels with TVS Protorq Extreme tyres on it, with 110/70 tyres up front and 150/60 tyres at the rear.
Aprilia RS 457: Design Details
A more compact version of the RS 660, the Aprilia RS 457 takes many design cues from the bigger RSV4 litre-class motorcycle. The RS 457 has a short tail section, clip-on handlebars, an underbelly exhaust, a lightweight subframe for better agility, and a full fairing with elegant dual LED headlights. To further enhance its sportiness, the motorcycle has high pegs, an aggressive riding position, a muscular appearance, and a side fairing that encompasses aerodynamic vents.
Aprilia RS 457: Features Onboard
To keep up with its rivals, the RS 457 is equipped with an impressive array of features. Because of its ride-by-wire technology, it may be used in a range of riding conditions and offers multiple ride modes. It also comes with a five-inch TFT display, an optional quickshifter, backlit switchgear, a three-level traction control system, and more.

Aprilia RS 457: Expected Price
The Aprilia RS 457 is scheduled to go on sale tomorrow with an ex-showroom price tag just shy of Rs 4 lakh, which puts it in the same price range as the soon-to-be-launched Yamaha R3 and the KTM RC 390. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 will continue to be the most costly model among the rivals. The fully faired Yamaha R3 is set to launch in India on December 15 along with another brand-new model, the MT-03.
