Ampere Electric, Greaves Electric Mobility's two-wheeler brand, has dropped the prices of its two electric scooters – Magnus and Reo Li Plus – by up to Rs 10,000. The price of the entry-level Reo Li Plus now stands at Rs 59,900, a reduction from the earlier Rs 69,900, whereas the Magnus has a starting price of Rs 84,900 for the LT variant. The latter's EX variant sets you back by Rs 94,900. The prices are ex-showroom, India. While Ampere hasn't revealed the exact reason behind the price hike, it might have been done to push its inventory. The table below offers a proper look at the revised pricing of the said models:

Ampere Reo Li Plus, Magnus: Specs
The Ampere Reo Li Plus is a low-speed electric scooter which does not require a license to be ridden. Its top speed is marked at 25km/h, while its 1.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack offers a claimed range of 70km. On the other hand, the Magnus LT variant has a claimed range of 80km and a top speed of 45km/, whereas the EX variant has a range of 80 – 100km and a top speed of 53km/h. In terms of design and features, however, both variants remain the same.
Ampere Electric's India Lineup
In the Indian market, Ampere Electric currently retails five electric scooters – the Primus, Zeal EX, Reo Li Plus, Magnus, and the new Nexus. The Nexus is Ampere's latest offering, which was launched in India last month at a starting price of Rs 1.10 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom).
The Nexus is Ampere's most premium offering in the country and comes in two variants – EX and ST. Like the Ather Rizta, the Ampere Nexus is a family-oriented electric scooter with a large under-seat storage area. It gets an IP67-rated 3kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery pack, which sends power to a mid-mounted 5.3bhp electric motor.
Ampere says that the top speed of the Nexus is 93km/h in 'Power' mode, while the claimed range stands at 136km.
