Priced at Rs 45,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the Reo Elite is fifth electric scooter to be launched by Ampere. Bookings have commenced at a minimum amount of Rs 1,999. Ampere will offer a helmet free of cost to its customers.
Ampere has further expanded its product portfolio with the addition of Reo Elite. Priced at Rs 45,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), this one will make space for itself between the Reo and the Magnus. Bookings for the new electric scooter have commenced on the company’s official website at Rs 1,999. Every customer who rides home the Reo Elite will get a helmet free of cost as part of the company’s safe riding initiative.
The Reo Elite is powered by a 250-watt motor that gets its power from a 48V 20Ah lead-acid battery. Unlike the Reo, this Elite will only be on sale with the lead-acid battery. Ampere claims a riding range of 55km in the city and 60km out on the highway. The Reo Elite can be fully charged in eight hours and the company offers a 1-year warranty on the battery. Braking power comes from 110mm drum brakes at both ends, while suspension duties are performed by telescopic forks at the front and dual springs at the rear. The Reo Elite tips the scale at 86kg and has a maximum loading capacity of 130kg. That being said, the company’s loading it up to 75km for optimum usage.
Top speed is limited to 25km/h thanks to which the Reo Elite doesn’t demand a driving license either. Other features include an LED digital display and a USB charging port. Ampere offers the Reo Elite in four colour options - Glossy Black, Glossy White, Glossy Red, Glossy Blue.
