The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS maintains its distinctive sharp lines and twin LED headlights while retaining the iconic 1,160cc in-line three engine.
Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS with key upgrades that enhance its performance and rider experience. The main feature is the new Ohlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension system, which improves handling and adaptability across different riding conditions. The bike also includes Front Wheel Lift Control, Engine Braking Control, and Brake Slide Control, giving riders better control and safety, especially in challenging situations. For comfort, the 2025 model now offers fully adjustable cruise control. A new exhaust system gives the Speed Triple 1200 RS a fresh visual appeal while retaining its aggressive design.
Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS: Design and Features
The 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS retains its sharp lines and twin LED headlights, with lighter wheels and a redesigned seat cowl. The minimalist tail, sculpted fuel tank, and exposed frame emphasise its muscular stance, while premium finishes and carbon fibre accents highlight its craftsmanship. Ergonomics balance sportiness and comfort for long rides, with a single-sided swingarm and lightweight wheels enhancing handling. A five-inch TFT display manages electronics, while smartphone connectivity offers turn-by-turn navigation, calls, and audio control.

The key upgrade is the Öhlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension. This system uses Ohlins’ Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi) to adjust real-time damping, optimising braking, cornering, and acceleration performance.
Braking power comes from Brembo’s twin Stylema monoblock front callipers, MCS radial master cylinder, and two-piston rear callipers. Cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control, both linked to a six-axis IMU, ensure safety and control. Five riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider) let riders customise the bike’s performance for different conditions.
Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS: Engine
The engine is a 1,160cc inline-three, producing 182bhp at 10,750 rpm and 127.8Nm at 8,750 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
For 2025, the bike introduces new safety features to enhance rider confidence. A front wheel lift control system with four adjustability levels uses the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to monitor pitch and improve stability. The engine braking control and brake slide control systems help maintain traction in challenging conditions.
