2025 KTM 790 Adventure: Key Details
The 2025 KTM 790 Adventure arrives with significant updates, including adjustable 43mm WP APEX front forks and a WP APEX shock, both borrowed from the KTM 890 Adventure. The bike showcases revamped styling while maintaining its Dakar Rally-inspired design. Customers can choose between two paint jobs: white and orange.
The front forks feature split-function technology, enabling separate adjustments for compression and rebound damping on each leg. The adjusters are located on the top of the fork legs, offering improved customisation for various riding conditions, whether on highways or rough terrain.
The WP APEX shock provides 200mm of travel and includes both a rebound damping adjuster and a remote preload adjuster for easier fine-tuning.
There are no changes to the engine, which remains the 799cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled unit, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine produces 94bhp of maximum power and 87Nm of peak torque. The 790 Adventure also comes equipped with new throttle bodies featuring integrated knock sensors, allowing the bike to run on lower-octane fuel.
The 790 Adventure includes a "Rally Mode" in addition to its off-road setting, optimised for dirt track riding. It also features both ABS and MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control). While the Austrian bikemaker has not revealed the pricing or release details yet, the 790 is expected to be more affordable than the 890 R model.
