A new version of the KTM 390 Adventure is all set to arrive in India tomorrow, November 14, with an expected price of 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The ADV has two variants: X (road-biased) and R (offroad-focused). The latter was shown at the recently concluded EICMA with an upright front fairing and a towering stance, inspired by Dakar bikes. It has adjustable upside-down forks, a horseshoe-shaped LED daytime running lamp, and vertically stacked LED projector headlamps. The headlight cluster is positioned beneath two auxiliary lights, a metal sump guard, a single-piece seat, a high-mounted beak-like fender, and a muscular-looking fuel tank with sharp extensions. The New 390 Adventure R has a paint scheme of orange, white, and black.
Hardware-wise, the 390 Adventure R includes 21-inch (front) and 18-inch (rear) wire-spoked wheels, an 885mm seat height, a steel trellis frame, an offset monoshock, and disc brakes on both ends. It also sports cornering ABS, a digital instrument console, traction control, and cruise control.
In contrast, the road-oriented 390 Adventure X will sport a lower seat height of 825mm, similar to the Himalayan 450. It will use the same chassis and body panels as the 390 Adventure R but with non-adjustable suspension and 200mm of wheel travel. Other features include standard ABS, alloy wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear), and an LCD display. The X model will have two colour options (white/orange and black/orange).
