Kawasaki has launched the 2025 iteration of the Z650RS middleweight sports bike in India. Priced at Rs 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Z650RS brings an update in the form of a new colour option called Ebony. The latest colourway combines a glossy black paint finish with gold accents, giving the bike a more modern look. There are also gold-coloured wheels, which have a multi-spoke design. Overall, the 2025 Z650RS continues to come off as a modern classic. Design elements include a round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, single-piece seat and flat tail section. The twin-pod, analogue instrument console with an integrated LCD readout still forms part of the features list. For MY2024, Kawasaki India introduced a two-level traction control system as a standard feature on the Z650RS. The Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTCS) comes with the ability to switch off as well.

2025 Kawasaki Z650RS: Underpinnings
The main frame is a tubular diamond unit, borrowed from the Kawasaki Z650, but the subframe has been revised. The bike uses a traditional telescopic fork setup for suspension, while dual front discs and a single rear disc perform braking duties. The Z650RS rolls on 17-inch alloys wrapped in tubeless tyres.
The middleweight motorcycle has an 800mm seat height, making it potentially less approachable for short riders. The wheelbase is 1,405mm, while the ground clearance is a mere 125mm.
