The Kawasaki Ninja retains its 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that generates a maximum power output of 67bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm of torque at 6,700rpm.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 now comes in a KRT Edition at a cost of Rs 7.27 lakh (ex-showroom), marking an increase of Rs 17,000 over the standard model. It adds a touch of racing flair to the popular 650cc sport-tourer, with a distinctive cosmetic treatment inspired by Kawasaki’s race-winning motorcycles. The edition sports the special livery, and looks more aggressive and track-focused. The engine and other components, however, are unchanged. The visually enhanced KRT treatment is aimed at riders seeking a sportier aesthetic and a design that stands out. Here’s all you need to know about the features of this new edition.
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition has a distinctive Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) livery, including a perfect mix of white, black, lime green, and subtle yellow accents. While the overall design language remains unchanged from the standard model—with its muscular fairings, slim underbelly exhaust, and twin LED headlights—the KRT Edition adds motorsport-inspired aggression to its looks.

The edition comes equipped with several useful accessories, including a USB charging port, frame sliders, a tank pad, radiator guard, pillion seat cover, and an optional taller windshield for better touring capability. Beyond the skin, it retains the same 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that generates a maximum power output of 67bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm of torque at 6,700rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
In terms of features, the bike has a 4.3-inch TFT colour display with Bluetooth connectivity, dual-channel ABS, and two-level traction control. While traction control is also available on the standard variant, it's yet to be confirmed whether the KRT version receives any calibration tweaks.
The suspension setup includes a 41mm telescopic front fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from 300mm front and 220mm rear discs.
