Honda has launched the 2025 CB1000 Hornet litre-class bike in the UK. The updated bike comes in two variants (standard and SP) and four shades (Grand Prix Red, Pearl Glare White, Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, and Matte Iridium Grey Metallic). For 2025, Honda has priced the litre-class naked bike at GBP 8,999 (around Rs 9.85 lakh), way less than the Honda XL750 Transalp sold in India (Rs 11 lakh). At the top of the heap is the 2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, which costs GBP 9,999 (around Rs 10.95 lakh).
Powering the new Honda CB1000 Hornet is the Fireblade-derived 999cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 150bhp at 11,000rpm and 104Nm of torque at 9,000rpm in the standard version. The more powerful SP variant develops 155bhp and 107Nm. Both variants come mated to a 6-speed gearbox, supplemented by a slipper clutch. The bi-directional quickshifter is also available but is standard with the SP.

2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet: Chassis
Chassis-wise, the 2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet uses an aluminium twin-spar frame, suspended by a 41mm inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. While both variants get fully adjustable Showa front suspension, only the SP variant gets a fully adjustable Ohlins monoshock. The standard version has a Showa monoshock. The braking setup also differs. The regular model features twin 310mm floating discs with a radially mounted four-piston Nissin calliper, while the SP offers a Brembo Stylema calliper. At the rear, both variants get a 240mm single disc with a single piston Nissin calliper.
Both variants roll on a set of 17-inch wheels, wrapped in 120/70 and 180/55 tyres. With a kerb weight of 211-212kg, the 2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet is lighter than the Kawasaki Z900. The seat height is a manageable 809mm, while the ground clearance stands at 135mm.
2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet: Design, Features
The front fascia, similar to that of the Ducati Streetfighter V4, houses a twin headlamp setup. Adding to the aggressive stance is a sharp-looking fuel tank. The rear section appears sharp too and is accompanied by a chunky exhaust muffler. Features-wise, the updated iteration comes with a colour TFT display with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Electronic aids include dual-channel ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine braking control, power modes, and four riding modes (Rain, Standard, Sport and User).

Honda does not retail the CB1000 Hornet in India, and we do not know whether the vehicle in the 2025 guise will be brought here. If the company plans to do so, the bike will have rivals in the form of the Triumph Street Triple RS, Suzuki Katana, and the Kawasaki Ninja 1100.
