Hero MotoCorp has updated the popular Splendor Plus range to comply with the new OBD2B emission regulations, leading to a Rs 1,750 price increase across all variants. The base model now starts at Rs 78,926 (ex-showroom), while the premium Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 is priced at Rs 85,501 (ex-showroom). The revamped lineup consists of six variants: Splendor+ Drum, Splendor+ i3S, Splendor+ i3S Black & Accent, Splendor+ XTEC Drum, Splendor+ XTEC Disc, and Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 Drum. With its affordable pricing, the Hero Splendor Plus continues to compete with models like the Bajaj Platina 100, TVS Star City Plus, and Honda Shine 100 in the highly competitive commuter motorcycle segment.
Updated Hero Splendor Plus Range: What's New?
The new Hero Splendor Plus brings a significant update with the introduction of On-Board Diagnostics 2nd stage (OBD2B), a system designed to monitor real-time emissions for improved environmental efficiency. While the bike's mechanical setup remains unchanged, it continues to be powered by the 97.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, producing 8bhp of maximum power and 8.05Nm of peak torque, coupled with a four-speed gearbox.

The base model offers a straightforward, fuel-efficient experience for those seeking a basic commuter bike. The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec adds a few user-friendly features, while the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 stands out with premium additions, including a refined design, a Bluetooth-enabled digital-analogue instrument cluster, and a modern LED headlamp. Additionally, all variants are now equipped with tubeless tyres for enhanced safety and easier upkeep.
Hero MotoCorp Posts 12% YoY Sales Growth in March
Hero MotoCorp has wrapped up both March 2025 and FY2024–25 on a high note, driven by a robust uptick in two-wheeler sales. In March alone, the company sold over 5.49 lakh units – marking a 12% year-on-year (YoY) increase. Motorcycles accounted for the majority with around 5.07 lakh units, while scooter sales surged 27.5% to 42,963 units.
Domestic sales stood at 5.10 lakh units (up 11%), and exports rose sharply by over 25% to 39,518 units. For the full financial year, Hero delivered 58.99 lakh units – an overall growth of nearly 5%. Motorcycle sales climbed 5.51% to 54.76 lakh units, while scooters dipped slightly. Notably, exports witnessed a substantial 43% jump, reaching 2.87 lakh units.
