The new Destini 125 design patent reveals visual enhancements to the Hero scooter, including retro-inspired and futuristic elements. As seen in the image, the scooter sports a retro-styled flat side panel and a stretched taillight assembly. The front portion is not seen, but the two-wheeler seems to gain a new LED headlamp with copper highlights according to the previously leaked pictures. While Hero has not confirmed, the scooter is expected to include a metal exhaust heat cover and new alloys. It is also likely to feature a new black and brown colour scheme.

New Hero Destini 125: Engine and Hardware
Mechanically, Hero MotoCorp will not change its scooter, which means the Destini will continue to employ a 124.6cc air-cooled 4-stroke engine that produces 9bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,500rpm. It has a CVT automatic. The current model has a rear monoshock, a telescopic front fork, and 130mm drum brakes (front and rear). While there has been no official announcement, the redesigned Destini 125 may include a front disc brake. The scooter currently features 10-inch alloy wheels, which are expected to be upgraded to 12 inches.
New Hero Destini 125: Price
With a range of improvements over its predecessor, the Hero Destini 125 will compete with the Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS Jupiter 125. It will likely cost between 80,000 and Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom).

Other Developments
In late July, Hero launched the upgraded Xtreme 160R 4V in India for Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The 160cc commuter motorcycle has a new Kevlar Brown colour scheme. It includes a panic brake alarm system, and dual-channel ABS, among other features. The bike also has a new speedometer with 30% more brightness. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged, with the 163.2cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 16.6bhp and 14.6Nm. It features USD forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock. In India, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V rivals with TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the Honda SP160, the Yamaha FZS Fi V4, and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
