Italian motorcycle maker Ducati has unveiled one of the five models planned for the next few months. The new Ducati Multistrada V4, revealed yesterday as part of its 2025 Ducati World Premiere, is a 'more high-performance, efficient and technologically advanced' motorcycle marketed with an 'Expand your limits' tagline.

For 2025, the newly unveiled Ducati Multistrada V4 – standard, V4 S, and V4 Pikes Peak – brings visual, mechanical and electronic upgrades. While deliveries for the updated Multistrada V4 models will commence next month in the international market, expect the company to bring these models to our market in late 2024 or early 2025. In the Indian market, the Ducati Multistrada V4 currently commands a starting price of Rs 21.48 lakh for the standard V4 model. The V4 S and the V4 Pikes Peak are priced at Rs 26.73 lakh and Rs 31.48 lakh, respectively. The prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 Range: Design Changes

Visually, the 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 models look very similar to their predecessors, save for the colours, tweaked LED headlamps, and a revised exhaust. The Multistrada V4  can be had in a single colour: Ducati Red, while the V4 S is additionally offered in Thrilling Black and Artic White colour options. The 2025 V4 Pikes Peak gets an Akrapovic titanium silencer as standard.

For 2025, the Ducati Multistrada V4 S also offer an updated automatic lowering device to facilitate stopping and aid in low-speed handling. The device brings the ride height down by up to 30mm when the speed is under 10km/h. Above 50km/h, the bike automatically returns to the normal ride height. The device is activated at speeds less than 10km/h with a flick of a switch.

Also up for offer with the V4 S is a Ducati Skyhook electronic suspension with a new position sensor in the front fork and a rear monoshock. The suspension is managed by a new Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) system, providing users with suspension adjustment on the fly. The rear monoshock on the Multistrada V4 S is new, now with a wider preload range. Other bits include a self-levelling function, a new bump detection system, and a Forward Collision Warning (FCW) feature. A front and rear radar system is standard here.

While the V4 Pikes Peak model comes with an Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension meant for sportier riding, the base Multistrada V4 uses fully adjustable suspension, comprising an upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock with remote spring preload adjustment.

As for the braking, the Multistrada V4 has 320mm discs with dual radially-mounted monoblock four-piston callipers at the front and a 280mm disc with a two-piston calliper at the rear, both sourced from Brembo. The S variant and the Pikes Peak flaunt Brembo Stylema callipers and a larger 330mm front rotor. The rear brakes are the same as the base version. The electronic combined braking system is common to all three.

Chassis-wise, the 2025 Multistrada V4 models feature the same aluminium monocoque unit. While the V4 and the S get a double-sided swingarm, the Pikes Peak sports a single-sided unit. However, an update to the chassis is in the form of a new swingarm pivot position, which is raised by 1mm for improved anti-squat action under hard acceleration. The updated Multistrada V4 and the V4S roll on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. Customers have the option to choose from cast wheels, forged wheels, or spoke wheels. The Pikes Peak has 17-inch Marchesini alloy forged wheels at both ends.

2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 Range: Engine, Ride Modes

Powering the 2025 Multistrada V4 models is the same 1158cc V4 liquid-cooled engine as before. But, the engine now gets upgraded cylinder deactivation technology – which deactivates the rear bank at low engine speeds – for better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Power and torque figures are 170bhp at 10,750rpm and 124Nm at 9,000rpm, respectively.

There are five ride modes on offer with the V4 and the V4 S: Touring, Urban, Sport, Wet (new), and Enduro (updated). The Pikes Peak additionally gets a Race mode. As a first, all three models come with a three-level engine braking control system.
