2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 Spotted Testing Ahead of India Launch; Shows New Instrument Console
The 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 will likely retain the same engine upgraded to meet OBD-2B emission norms without altering its performance output.
The 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 has been spotted undergoing road tests ahead of its launch in India. The test mule hints at several updates, most notably a cutting-edge LCD dot-matrix console, borrowed from the Pulsar NS400Z. This all-digital interface promises advanced functions like Bluetooth connectivity for call and message alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, a gear position display, and distance-to-empty, offering a more connected and informed riding experience. While the model is expected to retain its signature muscular profile, subtle tweaks in styling elements may lead to a refreshed look. Furthermore, the motorcycle will most likely carry on with its powerful 373cc single-cylinder engine, delivering impressive performance for city commutes and long-distance touring. Bajaj's move to test the upgraded Dominar signals its commitment to enhancing its popular offering in the performance cruiser segment, catering to evolving rider expectations.
New Bajaj Dominar 400 Spotted: Key Details
A few months back, Bajaj Auto hinted at the development of a heavily revised Dominar. While official details remain scarce, industry buzz suggests the possibility of major enhancements and advanced features. Recently, a test prototype of the Dominar 400 was spotted, indicating that the updates are well underway.
One prominent change is the removal of the distinctive tank-mounted display, replaced by a new instrument cluster. The spy images further reveal components such as a single-piece handlebar, LED indicators, a mounting clamp, inverted front forks measuring 43mm, a USB charging port, as well as a transparent windscreen. Other features may come in the form of ride-by-wire throttle, switchable ABS, multiple riding modes, and traction control.
The bike will likely retain the same engine upgraded to meet OBD-2B emission norms without altering its performance output. The on-sale Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled motor that produces 39.4bhp of maximum power and 35Nm of peak torque. A six-speed gearbox handles the transmission duties. The hardware setup comprises upside-down (USD) forks up front, a preload adjustable monoshock at the back, a 230mm rear disc, and a 320mm front disc.

As far as appearance is concerned, improvements could include revamped graphics and fresh paint jobs. The Dominar 400 is priced at Rs 2.32 lakh (ex-showroom) at present, with a slight increase in cost likely after the scheduled update. While it does not face direct competition, the model is in the same segment as the Hero Mavrick 440, Triumph Speed 400, and the Royal Enfield Guerilla 450.
