Triumph has modified the Tiger 1200 for the international market. For the 2024 model year, the bike has received significant upgrades in terms of performance and comfort. To begin with, the engine has been modified to reduce vibrations at low speeds. To this end, the company has enhanced the motor's inertia, resulting in reduced vibration levels. Additionally, the clutch lever has been extended for enhanced user comfort, particularly when off-roading.
Although there hasn't been an official announcement, the new Tiger 1200 range is scheduled to arrive in India in the upcoming weeks. The updated Triumph bike gets a flatter and more spacious seat, along with Active Preload Reduction technology as standard. This ground-breaking technology, which made its debut in August 2023, reduces the seat height by up to 20mm and the preload on the rear suspension, thereby offering the rider more ease and confidence. To use this functionality, all you have to do is push the ‘Home’ button on the switch cube for one second. Moreover, the cornering ground clearance of the Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Explorer variants has also been increased, owing to the elevated foot-peg placement.
The 2024 Tiger 1200 range is now also available with a few new paint schemes. The Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Explorer models are available in Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black, along with the new Carnival Red colour. The Tiger 1200 Rally Pro and Rally Explorer models and now available in the new Matt Sandstorm and Jet-Black colours, along with the popular Matt Khaki paint scheme.
The Triumph motorcycle's 1160cc in-line triple engine has been tuned to produce more power at low speeds. In addition to the minor engine calibration revisions, improvements to the alternator rotor, crankshaft, and balancer to boost engine inertia allow for a more seamless and accurate low-speed torque delivery.
