For the 2024 model year, KTM India has upgraded its popular RC and Adventure lines. As part of the most recent revamp, each motorcycle is available in two new colour options. These shades were first introduced globally approximately a month ago. The fresh shades and graphics are meant to give the models a more contemporary appearance, while the bikes' overall mechanical specifications and hardware remain the same. In light of growing competition from the pool of models in the sub-500cc class, the newly introduced options will help the motorcycles retain their appeal. Speaking on the updates, Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, "The KTM RC and Adventure lineup sets the benchmark with unmatched power, torque, and agility, outshining all other motorcycles in its class. We are excited to unveil new colour options for our existing models, tailored for adventure touring and speed race machine enthusiasts and dreamers alike." Read on to learn more.
2024 KTM RC Range
In the fully-faired portfolio, the 2024 RC 390 is now available in the new Factory Racing Orange colour scheme. While Orange remains the standard colour, the 2024 RC 125 and the RC 200 get a new Black shade and a striking Blue colour option. Every model keeps its distinctive side-slung exhaust, split seat design, and curved fascia with aerodynamic bodywork.
The RC 390 is still propelled by the previous 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 42.9bhp of maximum power and 37Nm of peak torque. On the transmission front, it is coupled with a six-speed gearbox, quick shifter, slipper, and assist clutch. With a six-speed transmission and a 124.7cc liquid-cooled motor putting out 14.34bhp and 12Nm of peak torque, the RC 125 is also powered by the same engine.
Moreover, boasting features such as ABS modes, traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, a side-stand sensor, full LED lighting, a TFT display, and smartphone connectivity for media, notifications, and navigation, the RC series is marketed as KTM's premium supersport options.
2024 KTM Adventure Range
The new Lunar Grey colour palette for the 2024 KTM 250 Adventure is currently accessible. The signature Orange colour combined with the new matte finish hue gives the motorcycle a pleasing contrast. The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure also receives two new colours. The ADV's traditional Orange and Black colour scheme is still popular and is followed by the brand-new Grey and White versions. For a superior finish that lasts for a longer period, the Austrian bikemaker uses a wet paint technique on its motorcycles with overlay graphics. The 390 Adventure X and spoke wheel models, however, have not been modified for the 2024 model year.
Mechanically, the 390 Adventure continues to be powered by the same 373cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 37Nm and 43bhp. On the other hand, the 248.8cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 30bhp and 24Nm of peak torque, is the older engine used in the 250 Adventure. While the exterior elements are updated, the bike's mechanical parts, features, performance, and styling are all the same. Because KTM is concentrating on creating the next generation of motorcycles, these new colour variations might be the last updates for the 390 Adventure and the 250 Adventure.
2024 KTM RC, Adventure Range: Price
The manufacturer also stated that there are no extra costs associated with the new colours because the pricing of the 2024 KTM RC and ADV range is not changing. The 2024 iteration of the RC 390 costs Rs 3.18 lakh, whereas the RC 200 and RC 125 are priced at Rs 2.18 lakh and Rs 1.90 lakh, respectively. As for the Adventure models, the 2024 KTM 200 Adventure costs Rs 2.45 lakh, while the 2024 KTM 390 Adventure retails for Rs 3.39 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom figures.
