Now, there is one additional KTM motorcycle, the 1290 Super Duke R, which has recently been sighted testing abroad, offering a bunch of information pertaining to the upgraded model. Although the chances of this KTM beast coming to India are low, it is still considered a beloved model for bike enthusiasts in our market who wish to know every detail about this new Austrian streetfighter. According to recent spy images, the bike has undergone massive cosmetic enhancements. The overall look of the motorcycle seems more aggressive than the older version. 2024 1290 Super Duke R: What Spy Shots Reveal?
The two vertically stacked projector lights give the bike a powerful appearance, as seen in spy photos. Although it has always had an angular and aggressive style, the sharper bodywork makes it even more aggressive. Further, the back seat, as well as the shape of the fuel tank with its extensions, add to the bold appearance. The test prototype seems to get a monoshock and adjustable WP USD front forks.
There is no official confirmation for these details as of yet, but the spotted bike revealed that it might have two front and one rear disc with Brembo callipers for braking. Additionally, a full-system Akrapovic exhaust system was also installed on the test bike by KTM, however, it might be sold as an extra rather than as standard equipment. More details on the bike are anticipated to emerge sooner or later.

2024 1290 Super Duke R: Mechanical Details
As far as the engine is concerned, the upcoming updated Austrian streetfighter is expected to be propelled by the firm's LC8-V2 twin motor with a slight increase in output. There is no official information, however, the automaker is likely to change the engine tune. For starters, the existing model delivers 180bhp and 140Nm. This setup has a bi-directional quickshifter and uses a six-speed gearbox. With the update, the bike is also anticipated to include additional rider aids like traction control, ABS, ride modes, wheelie control, and others.
