Husqvarna, KTM's subsidiary, has been spied on testing their new cafe-racer-styled motorcycle – the Vitpilen 250 – in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is expected to be launched in India in the first half of next year, but Husqvarna has remained silent regarding it. Bajaj Auto brought the Husqvarna brand to the country by launching two bikes in February 2020 – the Vitpilen 250 and the Svartpilen 250. Debuted at the India Bike Week in December 2019, both these motorcycles are based on their KTM counterparts.
2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250: Engine
Like before, the recently spotted Vitpilen 250 will come with the same engine that also does duty on the KTM 250 Duke – a 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected motor that belts out 31bhp at 9,250rpm and 25Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. Though it is the same motor as the KTM 250 Duke, it could get a slightly different state of tune in the new Vitpilen 250.

The engine comes paired with a 6-speed transmission that is assisted by a quick-shifter as standard. The 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250's upgraded powertrain will incorporate a redesigned cylinder head, a larger airbox, as well as ride-by-wire technology.

Moreover, the updated Vitpilen 250 will also share hardware components with the KTM siblings – the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke. These include an upside-down front fork, side-mounted rear monoshock, swingarm, wheels, and disc brakes supported by an anti-lock braking system. The riding position on the 2024 iteration is a combination of raised clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpegs, and a revised positioning of turn indicators.

Coming to the design bits, the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is a cafe-racer-styled offering that will get an updated headlight cover, a new design for the fuel tank and alloy wheels, a longer saddle, as well as a tweaked tail section accommodating the number plate. The design is likely to be complemented by new colour schemes, all-LED lighting, a TFT dash, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, USB-C charging, and more.
