2024 Honda CBR500R: Engine Specs and Performance
In terms of performance, there is not much deviation from before. The 471cc liquid-cooled two-cylinder engine, which offers efficient power delivery is at the core of the updated CBR500R. The unit is capable of churning out 47bhp of maximum power at 8,600rpm and a peak torque of 43Nm at 6,500Nm. With its extended range and low fuel consumption, the engine claims to offer an ideal mix between performance and efficiency. Furthermore, the addition of a new ECU configuration with HSTC traction control enhances the bike's rideability. The model boasts a range of more than 485-kilometre per tank and a modest fuel consumption of 3.5 litre per 100 kilometre.

One of the best aspects of the all-new CBR500R is the 41mm Showa Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP) upside-down fork, which allows for accurate turn-in movement and impressive asphalt feedback. Besides this, an effective five-way adjustable spring preload Showa shock absorber with Pro-Link linkage and rear suspension ensures reliable performance. Strong deceleration and safety are ensured by the brake system, which consists of two 296mm front discs with radially mounted Nissin four-piston brake callipers, even at greater speeds.
