Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V in India, priced at Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 10,000 more affordable than the outgoing model. Interestingly, the bikemaker also updated the Xtreme 160R 4V in July this year. The refreshed Xtreme 160R 2V has undergone subtle modifications for enhanced style and comfort. One of the key design upgrades is the striking H-shaped LED taillight, offering a modern look to complement the bike's sporty profile. The Xtreme 160R 2V comes in a single black-finished variant. 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Design and Features
The styling elements and features of the bike's 2024 version are identical to the outgoing model's; however, the manufacturer believes that the newly incorporated flatter single-piece seat and updated H-shaped taillight will enhance the pillion's overall comfort. The seat height is also substantially lower than before. Apart from this, Hero MotoCorp has continued with the drag race timer from the 160R 4V.
The latest generation of the Xtreme 160R 2V is offered in a single stealth black paint scheme. Red highlights on the wheel rims, underbelly sump guard, and headlamp bezels complement the all-black colour scheme. On the feature front, the bike gets features such as a fully digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging outlet, and LED headlights with position lamps.
2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Engine Specs
Coming to the mechanicals, a 163.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, producing 14.79bhp of maximum power and 14Nm of peak torque, powers the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. A five-speed gearbox is mated to this powerplant. Hero's proprietary XSens technology, which provides a start/stop function, is integrated into the engine.

2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Hardware Components and Market Rivals
The suspension configuration on this bike consists of a 7-step preload-adjustable rear mono-shock and 37mm telescopic front forks. With the assistance of a single-channel ABS, a front 276mm disc brake and A rear drum brake handle braking duties. The naked streetfighter is equipped with 100/80-R17 front and 130/70-R17 rear tyres, has a 12-litre fuel tank, and weighs 139.5kgs (kerb).
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V costs Rs 1.11 lakh, which is Rs 28,000 less than the 4V (Rs 1.39 lakh). It competes with the Yamaha FZ line (Rs 1.17 lakh to 1.30 lakh) and the Bajaj Pulsar N150 (Rs 1.25 lakh). All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
