Hero MotoCorp recently unveiled its new Destini 125 scooter with a refreshed design, larger wheels, and a front disc brake, among other things. It is the scooter's first comprehensive update since its introduction about 6 years ago. The powertrain is more or less the same, though – a 124.6cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine with 9bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.
The latest iteration of the Hero Destini 125 comes in three variants – VX, ZX, and ZX+. All three variants have a projector LED headlamp, H-shaped LED daytime running lamps, a metal front fender, and an LED taillamp. They even share the suspension setup, comprising a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. However, there are a few fundamental differences in terms of features, colour options, and more. Let's take a look:

2024 Hero Destini 125: VX
This is the entry-level variant of the updated Destini 125. It has drum brakes, a semi-digital instrument cluster (with a small LCD inset), and 12-inch cast alloy wheels. The semi-digital dash displays information such as speedometer, speedometer, trip meter, and fuel gauge. This variant is available in three colour options – Groovy Red, Eternal White, and Regal Black.
2024 Hero Destini 125: ZX
Over the VX, the mid-spec ZX variant adds Hero’s i3s start/stop tech, auto-cancelling indicators (segment-first), a backlit starter button, and a pillion backrest. The display is a digital unit with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Unlike the base variant, the ZX gets a disc brake at the front and 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Up for offer are two colour options: Mystique Magenta and Cosmic Blue.
2024 Hero Destini 125: ZX+
The top-spec ZX+ is almost identical to the ZX, save for chrome copper accents on the front apron, side panels, rearview mirrors and tail section, as well as 12-inch machined alloy wheels and two different colours (Ebony White and Regal Black).
As standard, the 2024 Destini 125 features a boot lamp, a side stand engine cut-off, an external fuel filler, CBS, and a Type-A USB charging port. The model sits 785mm (the longest in its class) above the ground, while the fuel tank capacity and the under-seat storage are rated at 5 litres and 19 litres, respectively.
