A little more than a week after it launched the M 1000 XR in India, BMW Motorrad has brought in the Ducati Multistrada V4-rivalling S 1000 XR. At Rs 22.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the 2024 BMW S 1000 XR gets visual tweaks, performance upgrades, and updated features.
Starting with its design, the new S 1000 XR has a revised rear section featuring new side panels and air intakes taking inspiration from motorsports. The body-coloured beak fender replaces the black one seen before. Also, there is a completely redesigned seat. With an 850mm seat height, which can be lowered with optional equipment, the 2024 BMW S 1000 XR should be more manoeuvrable on the road as well as on the racetrack. Other visual changes include new colours and updated graphics.
